May Day!

We are now on the Get Real Maine website through the department of Agriculture.
Simple, but good.

Pigs are growing fast. First round of shell, sugar and snow peas have emerged. Second round of seeds went in yesterday/today. Onions, 2 kinds and leeks have been transplanted to garden. Carrots, beets, chard, parsnips, turnips, radishes, and 4 types of lettuce are in their 'beds'. Seedlings inside are doing great. The garlic looks gorgeous, the asparagus should be sprouting anytime soon, and the rhubarb has my tummy growling for strawberry rhubarb crisp.... We still have a fox on the prowl, apparently I need shooting lessons, and we are missing Teri our one-eyed chicken (Teriyaki) - I think she was snatched up by the fox- she didn't see it coming....

Who needs a scare crow??
